Get Endorsed by AI

What does it mean to be endorsed by AI?

AI Endorsement

When ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity names your company as a recommended choice to a buyer who asked who to hire, and describes you correctly. AI only endorses what it can confirm. The companies it can confirm get endorsed. The rest get skipped, even when they're just as good.

Your buyers now ask AI who to hire before they ever visit a website. The answer is a short list of names. Being on it is an endorsement from the advisor your buyer trusts most in that moment. Being left off means you were never in the conversation, and nobody tells you.

So the question every B2B leader should be asking: is AI endorsing you, or your competitor?

AI only endorses what it can confirm

Google

Searches to discover. It goes looking, ranks what it finds, and lets the buyer decide.

AI assistants

Search to confirm. They start from the names they already know, check them, then endorse a few.

When a buyer asks ChatGPT who to hire, the model doesn't run a fresh search of every company in the category. It reaches for the names it already associates with the question, then looks for sources that confirm them. A company it can't confirm quickly, from sources it trusts, doesn't get endorsed. Not because it was judged and rejected, but because nothing confirmed it.

That's where most B2B companies lose. They're good at the work. They may even rank on Google. But when AI goes looking for confirmation, it finds an old description, a vague category, or nothing independent at all, so it endorses someone else.

Win AI's endorsement: the four tests

Before AI endorses anyone, it has to confirm four things. Fail one and you usually drop out of the answer.

  1. Category match. Your pages describe what you do in the words your buyers actually use. If buyers ask for a "fractional CMO for manufacturing" and your site only says "integrated revenue architecture," nothing connects the two.
  2. One consistent identity. The same name, description, and category on your website, LinkedIn, directories, and press. Spelling variations and namesakes split the signal. (My own name is written two ways in English, and at least six other professionals share it. That's why this page exists.)
  3. Independent corroboration. Sources other than you, such as lists, directories, interviews, videos, and articles, say the same thing about you. AI trusts what others say about you more than what you say about yourself.
  4. Readable, current facts. AI crawlers can reach your pages, the search indexes AI relies on have them, and the facts are up to date. Stale information gets repeated as if it were current: in one test, AI endorsed a company first whose domain was parked and for sale.

Measure it: the AI Endorsement Score

AI Endorsement Score = the share of your buyers' real questions for which AI endorses your company in its first answer: it names you as a recommended choice and describes you correctly.

Take 6 to 8 questions your best buyers would actually ask. Ask each one in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity, in a fresh logged-out chat. Count only first answers, never a corrected one after you push back, because a real buyer never pushes back. Track one more number alongside it: how often you're named first. That's the strongest endorsement there is.

"Describes you correctly" matters too. Being named for the wrong thing sends you the wrong leads and tells the right ones you're not a fit.

Common questions

Who introduced the AI Endorsement Score?

I did. I'm Ahmad Mneimne (also written Ahmad Mneimneh), a B2B AI recommendation specialist based in Beirut. I use it to measure, question by question, whether AI endorses a company or its competitors.

Is being endorsed by AI the same as ranking on Google?

No. Google ranking puts your page in a list of links. AI endorsement puts your company's name inside the answer itself. A company can rank well on Google and still not be endorsed by AI, because AI checks different signals before it recommends anyone.

How do I become AI-endorsed?

Work through the four tests in order: say what you do in your buyers' words, make your identity identical everywhere, earn independent mentions in the places AI reads, and keep every public fact current and crawlable. Read why AI endorses your competitor instead of you for the most common failures.
